In search of a better future, Milay moved to the U.S. with her parents a year and a half ago, leaving her motherland and living without most of her family around for the first time. After struggling to settle into the new life there, the family finally had the chance to come back to visit Cuba, and Milay was able to fulfill her dream of taking a series of photographs for her quinceañera.
