Whether in the virtual space of a Zoom call or the in-person space of an art museum, the members of the cross-disability collective I Wanna Be With You Everywhere (IWBWYE) find joy in coming together. Steered by the artists and writers Amalle Dublon, Jerron Herman, Carolyn Lazard, Park McArthur, Alice Sheppard, and Constantina Zavitsanos, the collective produces uniquely accessible events for an ever-expanding vision of cross-disability community. Recognizing that through a lack of access, disability communities are often barred from cultural institutions and social resources, the collective creates expansive models of creative access. Capturing the greater I Wanna Be With You Everywhere community at work and at play, this documentary short embraces the collective’s commitment to an aesthetics which incorporates collectively made creative access while highlighting integrated audio description, open captioning, descriptive audio narration, and ASL interpretation integrated into the film itself.
